ISLANDERS FIELD - LATHROP, CALIF. - A total of 39 position players were in attendance, 15 of whom competed primarily as middle infielders.The event was comprised entirely of 2024/2025 grads, with one reclassified 2026 in attendance.

In addition to the traditional showcase (60 yard run, BP round, defensive workouts), the pitchers competed in live game action where their data was gathered, and each position player had four at-bats during the game they played in.

Luke Oyler, Whitney (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 6-1, 155-pounds. Long and lean, lithe build, streamlined.
Hit: LHH. Wide feet, takes up space in the box, nearly even feet with weight a bit on backside, relaxed elbows, small heel lift to minimal stride, easy quiet load. Smooth swing, gets to leverage against front side, can work inside and spray to all fields, flashes significant power potential to the pull side, hit-ability is high.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, 65.1 max bat speed, 20.1 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. Compact arm action, quick release, strong arm that projects to be well above average in the coming year(s), true left side INF arm.
Defense: Wide feet at set-up, sound footwork mechanics, feet are ready to get throws underway quickly, can play on the move, rangy body with long stride range and also athleticism, showed confidence in the glove.
Run: 7.59 runner in the 60.

Samuel Rivas, Serra (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-9, 149-pounds. Athletic build on smaller frame with lean muscle.
Hit: RHH. Medium depth in box, slightly off the plate, medium width feet in balanced stance, comfortable hand set-up, small knee lift to medium stride, creates separation in a deeper hand load. Has some flatness to the stroke, some sweep into the zone from the deepish load, easy swing with quick hands, strong timing with contact point out front and ability to hit to all fields, has bat control, two hand finish with balance.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 70.1 max bat speed, 23.5 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. Showed multiple arm angles ranging from overhand to sidearm and all angles in between, quick arm, compact quick release, athletic thrower.
Defense: Plays low below ball, soft hands, plays to and through ball, can play on the move, has creativity to be an above average playmaker.
Run: 6.93 runner in the 60.

Kenny Winters, Lincoln (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Lean and wiry strong, athletic proportions, some width to shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Starts wide open in bit of a crouch, back foot on line up on the plate, hands start low and pre-set into the load to fire from, barrel slightly angled back, rhythmic small lift to close to even in move to the stride, hand fire from pre-set position.  Works inside, has strong barrel control talent, quick bat with aggressive move through contact, fights against front side creating leverage and torque, took same mechanics from BP into game action and swung bat well with results.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 67.4 max bat speed, 21.8 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. Generally traditional 3/4 release with compact arm stroke, has ability to drop lower when on the move to his left, closes ground on ball to allow arm to play up, accurate, capable of staying on the left side.
Defense: Aggressive to the ball, closes ground while making the play with timing, plays low, traps ball at reception, can get rid of ball quickly, angles and routes were clean, has a gritty presence and approach as a fielder.
Run: 7.11 runner in the 60.

Nicolas Sebastiani, Sonoma Valley (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Lithe long and lean, athletic with sinewy strength.
Hit: RHH. Medium depth in box and off the plate, even feet in balanced stance with slight crouch, hands off mid-body, small reverse toe tap out to medium stride, quiet load with some depth as hands lower from pre-set position, stride closes off a bit. Handsy stroke, full finish through contact, ability to slash the ball to all fields, does generally keep top hand integrity even as hands lower a bit in the load, quick hands with gap power potential as more physicality comes.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, 64.8 max bat speed, 22 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. High-3/4 release that he can drop lower if need be, ball comes out cleanly with some carry, able to throw well on the move.
Defense: Comfortable playing quickly, closes on ball well, longer strides provide range that should develop into above average range, plays defense with urgency and athleticism, plays low below ball, clean glove and securing ball at reception.
Run: 7.09 runner in the 60.

Jacob Downing, Serra (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/3B - Ranked #57 in California (#499 nationally), #17 SS in the state.
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Present strength with some muscularity on a lean and athletic body type, well-proportioned.
Hit: LHH. Deep in the box, open stance with medium width feet, lead shoulder tucked a bit, gets over back foot as lead leg lifts back before aggressive stride, creates separation and stretch that unleashes with violent intent. Has aggressiveness, powerful through contact with attack angle to produce fly ball launch angle, confidence oozes from him at the plate, has present day loft power to the pull side with additional ability to cut down swing in two strike counts and move the ball with authority to the opposite field, impact bat talent.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, 68.5 max bat speed, 22.8 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Loose arm, quick flick after getting out of deeper longer arm stroke, athletic thrower, gets air under the throws to create enough carry for left side.
Defense: Technically sound, played the balls in workout with smoothness and calmness, game play showed more urgency as a playmaker, light feet with good body control, soft hands with confident actions.
Run: 6.99 runner in the 60.

Rashad Hayes, Bishop O'Dowd (CA), 2025
Positional Profile: SS/OF - A top talent in the region in the 2025 class.
Body: 6-0, 153-pounds. Lean body type, lithe build with athletic proportions.
Hit: RHH. Deep in box, feet shoulder width apart, slightly open with hands starting head high, smooth quiet knee lift out to short stride, lowers hands into a medium depth load. Quiet swing, easy stroke that is non-forced, as strength comes there will be plenty of power that develops, creates some loft carry without much effort, has body control and showed flashes of bat control to pitches in different zones.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 66 max bat speed, 20.4 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. 3/4 release, aggressive thrower with athleticism to play and throw on the move, versatile with multiple arm angle ability, above average arm strength will develop in time.
Defense: Light feet, confident actions, soft hands with feet in position get throws off quickly, reads ball well and closes well to shorten up the throw distance, clean to the backhand.
Run: 7.06 runner in the 60.

Edward Peters, Aptos (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-8, 145-pounds. Lanky proportions on smaller compact frame, does has some lean strength in lower body.
Hit: RHH. Medium depth in box, medium width feet slightly off the plate, weight a bit to backside early with even stance, hands comfortably off the body, tucks lead knee as lower body timing mechanism out to medium stride, deep hand load.  Fairly flat stroke, has feel for the barrel, though deeper load his stroke is fairly compact, aggressive and competitive hitter with line drive ability in middle of field.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, 66.9 max bat speed, 22.1 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Quick arm stroke, compact arm action, slot ranges from 3/4 to high-3/4, aggressive with his arm on the move.
Defense: Closes on ball quickly, plays low through ball with concentrated focus, soft hands, able to adjust to off schedule plays, quick feet with ability to cut off ball with good angles.
Run: 7.34 runner in the 60.

Dario Freschi, Vintage (CA), 2025
Positional Profile: SS/2B - A top talent in the region in the 2025 class.
Body: 5-8, 160-pounds. Compact athletic build, has hints of present strength in upper and lower body.
Hit: LHH. Deeper in box, weight slightly back early with front toe lightly touching, high hands, near hip high knee lift out to medium stride, creates powerful separation in the load. Versatile to pitches in any zone with gap pop to all fields, quick hands and outstanding timing, quiet head, hitterish with nose to toes hit-ability, gets juice from his hip turn.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 69.1 max bat speed, 21.4 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. Compact arm stroke, high-3/4 release, gets air under it to create some carry, competitive at SS given present grad year.
Defense: Reads ball early, closes well, plays with urgency, went to backhand confidently, plays athletically with a gritty playmaking style, soft hands and plays strong around the bag.
Run: 7.31 runner in the 60.

Angel Valdez, Sierra  (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-0, 175-pounds. Long body, has some present strength and size on frame that has potential to be physical.
Hit: RHH. Deeper in box, medium width feet, slightly open with hands held high, medium knee tuck/lift to small stride, small load of hands. Has some sweep into the zone with a high two hand finish, there is some strength present at contact and has power potential in middle of the field, catches ball out front and can use opposite field.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, 67.7 max bat speed, 21.1 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. Compact arm action, gets rid of ball quickly, arm projects best at 2B given carry on the throws, accurate thrower.
Defense: Clean footwork allows for sound angles and closing on ball well which allows arm to play up, soft hands, played D with body control, range and footspeed suggest 3B/2B.
Run: 7.54 runner in the 60.

Kade Spomer, Lincoln (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 5-7, 135-pounds. Lean athletic build with some wiry strength on smaller frame.
Hit: RHH. Deep in box, slightly open with medium width feet, slight knee pinch with high hands and back elbow to start, smooth medium lift out to medium stride, some depth in the load to create separation. Quiet head, works hands smoothly inside the ball, willing to use whole field, nice top hand integrity throughout swing getting to high two hand finish.
Power: 81 max exit velocity, 67 max bat speed, 20.1 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 73 mph. Loose arm, 3/4 release with arm stroke that has some backside depth/length, gets ball out quickly.
Defense: Quick feet, soft hands, footwork created angles to get throws underway quickly, worked below the ball with slight funnel to mid-section at reception, sound backhand technique.
Run: 7.49 runner in the 60.

Kayden Shaw, Kennedy (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Long athletic body, has lean strength now with room for development of muscle and physicality.
Hit: SH. RHH - Medium depth in box, open, pinched knees, lower hands with elbows flared opposite each other, high knee lift out to long stride, small quiet load of hands. Short to ball, accelerates aggressively through contact with some violence in a loose stroke, flashed barrel control and life. LHH - Similar set as RH side, knees pinched, medium depth in box, wide open with medium width feet, lower hands than on RH side, smooth lift to pinched knees out to medium stride. Throws top hand through contact, front foot has some release of energy, show more bat control on LH side with more aggressive move upward through contact toward aggressive attack angle, has power in his future.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, 68.3 max bat speed, 23.4 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 72 mph. Overhand release, arm plays up when closes ground on ball, throws stayed on-line, arm stroke fairly compact with smooth action.
Defense: Soft hands, comfortable playing on move and using athleticism, has quality range with long body and his footspeed, release time can speed up.
Run: 7.14 runner in the 60.

Bryson Kramer, River City (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 5-8, 150-pounds. Lean build with some wiry strength on average size frame.
Hit: RHH. Up in the box, fairly off the plate with open stance, hands held high with wider elbows, reverse lift to knee tuck out to short stride, some depth in the hand load. Fairly flat stroke, lays barrel back early and has some sweep action into the zone, slashing type swing with mechanics tailored to the pull side.
Power: 85 max exit velocity, 66.6 max bat speed, 20.5 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 71 mph. Long backside arm stroke to 3/4 release, showed arm angle versatility when on the move.
Defense: Plays with athletic feet, flashed confident actions, has body control and showed soft adaptable glove.
Run: 7.3 runner in the 60.

Carson Davis, Marin Catholic (CA), 2025
Positional Profile: SS
Body: 6-0, 152-pounds. Long young body, lean/lanky frame projects to have positive size and strength gains as he matures.
Hit: RHH. Takes up space in the box, fairly deep in box with open stance, slightly off the plate, hands comfortably off right shoulder, slight knee crouch, smooth small stride, fairly small short load, gets back elbow connected. Fairly short stroke, quiet barrel with bat control, works inside, sees ball well, able to use all fields, sound mechanics, controlled two hand finish, maintains top hand integrity.
Power: 79 max exit velocity, 62.8 max bat speed, 20.3 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 70 mph. Short backside arm action, can change arm angles though natural slot is near overhand, throws stayed on-line, ability to close on the ball allows arm to play up.
Defense: Plays defensively with some urgency, closes ground well, soft glove hand, traps ball at reception, long strides provide range.
Run: 7.99 runner in the 60.

Brandon Low, Laguna Creek (CA), 2024
Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-8, 149-pounds. Compact body type, has some lean young strength, higher waist.
Hit: LHH. Medium depth in box, even feet in stance with balanced set-up, barrel relaxed over shoulder, reverse, quiet mechanics, small stride more often than not but with early pitch recognition ability he went into higher lift to drive ball, smooth medium depth load to create separation. Smooth stroke, contact oriented swing with all field hit-ability, quiet barrel gets direct to ball, flat stroke, has ability to spoil quality pitches, outstanding top hand, looks to have ability to hit for average.
Power: 87 max exit velocity, 64.2 max bat speed, 22 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 65 mph. Long arm stroke gets to overhand slot, some tailing action on throws, arm projects best to 2B.
Defense: Gritty defender, showed glove talent and playmaking ability, plays low through ball, quick transfer after reception of ball, has strong trust in his glove hand.
Run: 7.89 runner in the 60.

Gabriel Munoz, Clovis North (CA), 2025
Positional Profile: 2B/SS
Body: 5-7, 130-pounds. Average build on smaller frame, lanky and wiry with plenty of physical maturity ahead of him.
Hit: RHH. Medium depth in box, slightly off the plate and slightly open, small crouch, hands start high, quiet medium depth load creating barrel tilt, smooth knee lift out to medium stride. Sound hitting mechanics that will pay off when he's stronger, works inside, has bat control, quiet in the box, seems to see ball well, some hip drift forward due to somewhat longer stride, flat stroke, two hand finish.
Power: 79 max exit velocity, 57.3 max bat speed, 18.2 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. INF - 64 mph. Compact arm action, gets out fairly quick, flick snap type thrower, can change arm angles when on the move.
Defense: Presents confident actions, plays low with eyes level and tracking ball to glove, secure trapping mechanic at reception, trusts his glove hand, presents as a gritty tough defender.
Run: 8.03 runner in the 60.
