A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Event: NorCal Uncommitted Games Positional Profile: SS/2B Physical: 5-9, 150-pounds; Compact athletic body type with wiry strength on smaller frame; 7.08 60-yard, 24.0” max jump height. Offensively: RH. EV max – 86.4 mph, hand speed max – 20.1 mph, bat speed max – 67.0 mph; Consistent line drive/fly ball with 60% sweet spot result (percentage of balls hit w/8-32 degree launch), feet just outside shoulder in even stance, upright set-up, hands just above shoulder height, loads with slight depth as hands move downward a bit from start position, calm easy modest knee lift out to medium stride, keeps head calm, swing works with ease, has some rotational aspects as weight rolls outside stride foot, quiet pre-pitch with mechanics that he has feel for. Defensively: INF mph – 84; Hops athletically into fielding position, light feet, fields with glove side open to the target which allows for a quick release, soft hands while getting to a clean transfer, sure fielder with arm to play either spot up the middle, good baseball player.
1/23/22
Positional Profile: 2B/SS Physical: 5-7, 135-pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.13 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a finish around the back. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 84 MPH via Trackman. Equal LD and fly ball % (37.5), starts with hands preset in a deeper position, has barrel control with ability to spray ball to all fields. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 78 MPH. Bouncy actions, soft clean hands, energetic defender, surprising arm strength given present size, some length in the arm stroke though showed arm angle versatility when on the move, projects as an above average defender.
9/18/21
Positional Profile: 2B/SS Body: 5-7, 135-pounds. Lean athletic build with some wiry strength on smaller frame. Hit: RHH. Deep in box, slightly open with medium width feet, slight knee pinch with high hands and back elbow to start, smooth medium lift out to medium stride, some depth in the load to create separation. Quiet head, works hands smoothly inside the ball, willing to use whole field, nice top hand integrity throughout swing getting to high two hand finish. Power: 81 max exit velocity, 67 max bat speed, 20.1 max hand speed. Arm: RH. INF - 73 mph. Loose arm, 3/4 release with arm stroke that has some backside depth/length, gets ball out quickly. Defense: Quick feet, soft hands, footwork created angles to get throws underway quickly, worked below the ball with slight funnel to mid-section at reception, sound backhand technique. Run: 7.49 runner in the 60.
