California State Games - Relative to raw tools, no player at California State Games was as high on two separate tools lists as Sebastiani. His 91 mph throw from the OF was tied for the top velocity among OFs and his 6.66 60-yard was the fastest time, yet it's not the fastest we've seen him run before. The 3.77 30-yard was also the second fastest time in that measure. The hitting hands are potentially special as they fire easily with an abundance of hand speed. When keeping the his swing on a line drive plane he is a handful for the defense. He's just learning to play the OF this past summer yet when seeing the speed and arm, then watching him make a FAR running play in LF into foul territory, it's clear he can be a game-changer on defense as well.
6/27/23
ACG Tryout - A balanced setup at the plate with a small toe tap induces an aggressive approach early in the count. Sebastiani has quick hands that generate easy juice but he can become slightly pull happy. He is a 6.46 runner in the 60 and showcased his speed on the bases by taking extra bags at will. Also threw 89 mph from the outfield.

Event: NorCal Uncommitted Games Positional Profile: SS Physical: 6-0, 170-pounds; Wide shoulders, athletic build, size for future muscularity; 6.97 60-yard, 25” max jump height. Offensively: RHH. EV max – 90.8 mph, hand speed max – 22 mph, bat speed max – 68.2 mph; Balanced set up in slightly open stance, live heavy hands, able to flick the barrel on a pitch away and create impact contact as evidenced but triple to RCF, small toe tap timing mechanism out to stride, easy juice to the pull side, flashed impact bat talent, can be short to ball while cutting down swing and still produce hard hit balls. Defensively: INF mph – 85; Ball leaps out of his hand with carry across diamond, does use an extra step to get the throw off but has enough raw arm strength to cut out that extra step and still throw with velocity, funnels ball to mid-section with a glove pat, given the raw arm and good footspeed there are a couple of slight adjustments (extra step, glove pat) that can be cleaned up and elevate his defensive profile. Tools are certainly present.

vs Casa Grande - Lean athletic build, leadoff hitter in this game at the DH spot, set tone for the team (eventually won 9-8 in 8 innings) by banging the first pitch to LF for a single, later also drove a ball to LF, aggressive early in the count with a hit-hit-hit mentality, trusts his hands, approach was somewhat to the pull side, has an energy and presence about him that spreads through his teammates, runs well too.

Positional Profile: SS Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Lithe long and lean, athletic with sinewy strength. Hit: RHH. Medium depth in box and off the plate, even feet in balanced stance with slight crouch, hands off mid-body, small reverse toe tap out to medium stride, quiet load with some depth as hands lower from pre-set position, stride closes off a bit. Handsy stroke, full finish through contact, ability to slash the ball to all fields, does generally keep top hand integrity even as hands lower a bit in the load, quick hands with gap power potential as more physicality comes. Power: 87 max exit velocity, 64.8 max bat speed, 22 max hand speed. Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. High-3/4 release that he can drop lower if need be, ball comes out cleanly with some carry, able to throw well on the move. Defense: Comfortable playing quickly, closes on ball well, longer strides provide range that should develop into above average range, plays defense with urgency and athleticism, plays low below ball, clean glove and securing ball at reception. Run: 7.09 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP Delivery: Stays tall throughout. Long sweeping glove side towards the right handed hitter. Travels closed downhill until front foot contact. Arm Action: RH. Scap loads into a high-3/4 release point. Has a relaxed arm circle back that’s repeatable and healthy. FB: T80, 75-78 mph. Arm side horizontal run that flashes depth at times. CB: 60-62 mph. Big 12/6. Hitters tend to give up on it out of his hand. Spin rate 2118. Has hard bite . CH: 68-70 mph. -10 off his fastball. Gets hitters on front foot. Good action down.
