ACG Tryout - Athletic actions all around. Strong, lean build. Blocked and received exceptionally and had the strongest catchers arm at the event (83 mph) with a 2.06-2.08 pop time. Could quicken his transfer. Offensively, Fernandez sports a flat stroke with gap to gap power. Ran a 6.96 second 60 yard dash.

Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; Strong build with lean sinewy body composition, body immediately draws favorable impression, one of more talented 2-way (w/two defensive position versatility) players in 2024 class in Northern CA, catching tools compare favorably with top catchers in the state, 79 mph max C throw and 89 mph max OF throw, low pop down to 1.94 though there is some variance and some short hops showed he can sync up his feet and release better, accurate OF arm with strong ball-tracking skills, ran 6.89 60-yd, flat stroke with gap to gap pop, 90.6 max EV, 60% sweet spot % showed the focus on barrel contact, 50% line drives and 30% fly balls, on mound flashes stuff and a potentially powerful delivery, FB maxed 85 mph (81-84), 2422 max spin is a very favorable number (the OF throw carry translates to the FB on mound), worked up in zone and the spin can be effective there though the release height (6.0 avg) is a touch high to be able to work up and get swings, CB 73-76 mph w/2428 avg spin, there were some offerings that also looked to be a cutter and may not have been tagged in TrackMan accurately, plenty to work with on mound, going to junior season looks to be a strong two-way varsity player and overall profile beyond HS is TBD, though the position player tools suggest that's likely to be behind the plate or in CF/RF.

at Justin-Siena HS - Long and lean with streamlined athletic body type, played RF in this game, hit in the 3-spot in order, closed well on a 'dying quail' in front of him with a slide to get under the ball and make the catch, showed to be highly competitive and ready to hit on pitches in the zone, flat stroke with good timing, has some extension through contact and hints of strength that will produce extra base hit power as he matures.
