NorCal Preseason All-State:

7.75 60yd, 75 C, 2.01-2.11 Pop, 77 EV

5-10, 170 with added firm strength through the upper half as he’s started to mature. Wider, balanced at the dish with even hands resting bat on back shoulder; quick hand load transferring weight back before forward movement. Short-upward arc through the zone having some barrel whip and showing the ability to keep hands inside the baseball as he lifted pitches to the LCF and RCF gaps (77 EV). Quick feet out of the crouch staying directional towards 2nd and having clean transfers to keep balls on base (2.01-2.11 Pop, 75 C). Flexible between both one-knee and more upright stance showing low-target with fluid movements back when presenting. Receiving skills have consistently shown well for Elias and he’s a solid player.

BAWS 2019 - Medium strong frame with high waist and firm build; squared up shoulders (7.36 60yd). Balanced and tall having hands show controlled and continuous work back and up as he uses high front leg lift working to stay behind the baseball; can sink into his lower half helping to lift through contact. Quick bat working with full body turns and aggressive two-hand finish up through the zone; showed ability to drive the ball to the pullside with flashes of pop that way also (81 EV). Bat had some hard contact during the games but also some swing and miss; times where he cuts the zone swinging through some hittable pitches. The catching skills were very solid with strong catch and throw skills (1.97-2.12 Pop, 74 MPH); blocking was good with some lateral agility and ability to smother pitches close to him. Like the frame and bat has some juice when working through the baseball.

N. California Preseason All-State
Long, lean build showing young muscle with high waist and length in arms and legs on medium frame; projectable frame with athletic ability. Runs well with some quickness in the first step showing average stride length (7.22 60-yd). Showed quick transitions from the glove with snap throws from a compact arm that projects to keep improving in future (1.94-2.02 pop; 73 MPH); athleticism in the body allows for the ability to get to knees quickly keeping the ball in front of him. Offensively works with a balanced stance keeping hands high with flared elbows and slight wiggle of hands; slight foot lift loading into back hip as hands turn the barrel to pitcher. Short, quick barrel with the ability to control bat head finishing high around ears; ability to create leverage on the ball flashing power to both gaps (81 exit velo).

NCTB Upperclass Tourney - BP notes: flat, good barrel, best to opposite field, good balance, short to it, little bit big at the finish affects bat control a bit
