10/10/20

Positional Profile: RHP - One of top uncommitted RHP in the region.
Body: 6-2, 195-pounds. Physical well-defined body, sculpted and muscular.
Delivery: Simple, small delivery, quick rocker/turn, modest knee lift, long in-line stride, powerful hip drive, maintains body control.
Arm Action: RH. Overhand, compact backside with clean circle, powers ball to the plate.
FB: T88, 87-88 mph. Has life through zone, very effective above the belt, can get chases, above avg spin, complements his CB well.
CB: 73-75 mph. Big 12/5 type continuous break, feel for this pitch, usable as a K pitch or to cross count a hitter.
CH: 80-83 mph. Deceptive given the strong similarity to the FB release, finishes well, feel for the bottom of the zone.

9/06/20

Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; Strong body, eye-catching physicality, high overhand slot, strong arm, stuff plays aggressively through the zone. FB up to 88 with riding action and flashes plus spin, big CB. One of the region's top remaining uncommitted '21 RHP and frankly, he's a rankable 2021.

2/20/19

vs St Francis - came on in relief in the 3rd inning and was able to get the Wildcats out of trouble. He went two more innings giving up three hits, walking one and hitting one giving up three runs. It’s a projectable body that is long and very lean with a chance to gain some weight and improve the overall profile. Moore keeps a simple delivery with side step allowing his long arm time to get to its H-3/4 release point. The arm has some stabby actions in the back but showed good follow through out in front. The FB was 76-79 T80 MPH with flashes of arm side sink around the plate, missing middle and up. His CB (69-70 MPH) was better when he kept similar arm speed with short overhand tumble and flashed feel for the pitch at times. Moore has a chance to clean up the arm, add some strength and improve his overall profile in the next few years.
