A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

Body: 6-3, 170-pounds. Long and lanky, projectable pitchers build, plenty of room for growth. Delivery: Stays tight overall, back knee bend with leg lift, lands slightly across body, finishes towards home plate with some balance. Arm Action: RH. Average high school arm speed from a high 3/4 arm slot. Medium arm swing, speed consistent throughout, glove clearance slows arm follow through. FB: T80, 77-79 mph. Fastball located predominately to the arm side, side-to-side consistency needed, produced groundballs. CB: 68 mph. Slurvy breaking ball located mainly to the arm side. Good speed differential from fastball with enough break to offset timing. Ground ball contact. SL: 71-75 mph. Developmental pitch with varying pitch speeds. At times read similar to curveball and other times read similar to a cut fastball. CH: 71 mph. Showed some potential with quality speed and spin differential. Natural arm side run and fade.
6/22/21
Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-2, 170-pounds. Long and lanky, sizable frame for future size and strength as he approaches physical maturity. Delivery: Simple side step, gets to small hunch/tuck over rubber, in-line delivery, backside comes through, front side pulls through hard. Arm Action: RH. Loose and quick, long backside arm swing, overhand slot, aggressive toward extension, projects as a velocity type of arm action. FB: T80, 77-79 mph. Can create angle through the zone from the high release, around the zone, far extension, fairly straight with down angle creating look of a sinker. CB: 68-69 mph. Big shape, 12/5 type, has some spin that projects well (max 2268), similar release off the FB look, big tumbler. SL: 71-72 mph. Shows same release at CB and FB, good feel for zone, smaller than CB with more velo, smooth shape. CH: 69-73 mph. Plays off FB well with release height and arm side action down into the bottom of zone, has feel, aggressive release suggests he likes it and trusts it, big spin reduction off the FB.
