Body: Physical, large frame with current strength. Keighran passes the eye test right away.
Hit: Good feel for hit. Has the ability to use all fields. His longer levers however, create some swing and miss, as his hands creep away from his body at times. Can delay upper body after hip fire to adjust to off-speed.
Power: Has some raw power with a strong lower half that generates good hand speed. Shows above average early connection metrics which indicates power in the future. Home run power is to the pull side.
Field: Raw, but has the physical tools to be a solid first baseman in college. Shows agility, clean hands, and can move well laterally.
Arm: Tic below average. Throws were not online and tailed off target.
Run: 7.0 60-Yard. Surprisingly agile mover once underway. Acceleration to top speed takes a couple of extra steps.
Summary - Keighran’s future success is contingent on the bat. He's got an outstanding feel for the barrel. His game is built on his ability to be aggressive and drive the baseball to all fields. His swing metrics are average across the board flashing above MLB averages at times. Analytics indicate he will grow into his power and has over the fence potential. Keighran has enough natural ability to hit for a workable average with power, which does profile well at a corner infield position in high school and college. He has enough natural range to work at third base or left field currently. Professionally, Keighran's arm tool places him at first base where he will have a long term defensive home.
Plane Analysis: Keighran demonstrated an average Plane Swing Performance compared to other players with similar level of play. MLB On-Plane Efficiency average is 73%. Players that stay longer on-plane can better make adjustments with their body.
Connection Analysis:Keighran exhibited an average overall Connection Swing Performance comparatively, with flashes of above average metrics. To improve his swing quality, Patrick should focus on Connection drills, because players with good Early Connection metrics (MLB Average: 92°) generate more power to all parts of the field.
Rotation Analysis:Patrick shows average Rotational Swing Performance metrics comparatively. MLB average is 16.8G’s. To improve his swing quality, Keighran should focus on Rotation drills (Impact Heavy Bag) creating resistance, and develop more core strength.

BAWS 2019 - Physical large frame with current strength and quick actions (7.14 60yd). Keighran passes the eye test right away with a strong frame and showed well during the testing. The bat is strong through the zone with quickness from a full-body swing; really attacked the middle of the field flashing pop that way (93 EV). Swing has some high finish after getting on plane early with his barrel turn; during games the barrel would get a bit long away from the body leading to some swing and miss. Defensively he moves well attacking the ball and being able to play on the move with a compact arm that was able to keep throws online with flashes of life (83 MPH). The defense showed well during the games making the routine plays. I like the physicality of the frame and the aggressive approach; even with a little bit of swing and miss in the games he was attacking good pitches to hit with the results just not being there.

Slow gather into back hip as hands pull back into shoulder with knee tuck and turned front leg; barrel flattens out behind head in load with high front shoulder. Gains ground in stride as rotates around a stiff front leg with full body turns; barrel is compact and quick working on an upward path on plane with pitches. Drove gap-to-gap deep with carry showing strength in body and the swing (93 EV). Loose hips and quick feet able to round and come through the ball quickly under control; shows decent range with strong body control. Glove funnels up off of throwing leg staying under ball; longer arm action with mid-3/4 slot showing good actions to the bag (77 MPH).Tools present with projection for more in the near future

PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Full large frame with wide chest and strength throughout frame. Controlled runner with fluid, athletic stride showing quick run time (7.19 60-yd). Wide balanced stance with high even hands and wide elbows; full body into back hip as he sinks into lower half pulling the hands down and back. Quick, level swing that gets full extension driving through the ball and making hard contact in front of the plate; swings with authority while finishing in a balanced position and driving balls to gaps with leverage (91 exit velo). Controlled feet with strong first step and loose hips able to drop and move quickly; glove is soft and able to transfer to throwing hand under control. Arm shows controlled length with wider swing before high release (76 MPH). Projectable 2021 that shows middle infielder reads and ability to be hybrid infielder at 3B.
