Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Long and lanky, squared up frame showing some current strength and projecting; athletic moving well underway with quick feet (7.09 60yd). Very tall stance, slightly opened feet keeping hands away from the back shoulder; pulls the hands back early using a quite foot with hands working directly to the ball. When the swing has more momentum from the load was able to get on-plane better and having the ball jump more consistently; barrel catches the ball out front being able to backspin the baseball into the gaps (81 EV). Picked up a solid single to RF before beating out a chopped INF 1B to end his day. Easy actions in the OF staying lined up with the bags and fielding off his front foot; uses a higher crow-hop in the OF allowing athleticism to come out. Arm is quick and loose having good hand speed out in front keeping the ball firm (84 MPH). Skills still raw showing upside as he keeps making jumps.

NCA Top Prospect ID - Long, large frame with squared shoulders and length in the limbs; projectable build and athletic stride length (6.97 60yd). Tall and opened stance with hands tight by chin in middle of the body; gradual load with hands working back as he strides to balanced landing soft on the front foot. Hands are direct to the baseball with compact path; barrel will occasionally lose path, but when on time and under control the barrel shows strength through the zone finishing up high. Stayed to the pull side working behind the baseball with some gap carry; swing mechanics are strong with possibility of more growth (84 EV). Allows ball to come to him, working with his athleticism to put throws on the bag; high hop using length to get arm out of glove and in time to make throws. Arm is loose and full; keeps hand on top and through baseball well with more coming upon continued strength (83 MPH).
FB 76-77, CHG 66-68, CB 57-61 Starts tall on hill with hands at chin having hands work slowly down to waist before slight lift on higher front knee; deliberate delivery showing looseness in the hips with firm landing absorbing body out front. Arm has length out of glove showing loose actions before getting to H-3/4 to over the top release point; projectable arm having fluid actions and good hand speed out front. FB showed strong angle to the arm side flashing some run that way also. CB 12/6 shape showing late depth and overhand feel; loose shape now but can keep improving with more velocity on break. CHG heavy arm side run using it consistently; better offspeed pitch currently with more projection.
