1-29-17
6-foot, 170 pounds. Bats left, throws right. Closer to 5-foot-10, but everything is super effortless, and he repeats it in an advanced manner given his age. Arm is quick, and he painted his fastball from side to side down in the zone. Fastball was 82-83 and it looked like he was just flipping it in. Stays linear. Threw a straight changeup with fastball arm speed for strikes and a slurve that took solid shape, but is still developing. Change was 74-75 mph. Curveball comes in at 70-72 with 10/4 shape. Solid prospect.

10-1-16

Quezada has the same leg drive and extension that has become the norm for the recent string of power arms coming out of Colorado.  He drives off his backside and gets down the mound where he almost appears to touch the catcher’s mitt from a 3/4 slot.  His fastball was recently up to 87, but sat more in the 82-84 range, and although he is still raw in some aspects (only a freshman), he shows big upside potential with a quick arm and short arm swing. The ball really seems to jump on hitters, and he is able to counter a firm fastball with a developing 64-66 curveball.  Interestingly enough, Quezada’s current high school does not have a baseball team, so college recruiters will have to wait until PBR Colorado’s Underclass Inviational or search him out on the summer circuit.

8-6-16

A 6-foot-0, 170-pound left hand hitting RHP.  On the mound he stands tall and gets good very good leg drive to the plate, and very good extension. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball lived between 81-83 mph touching 84, but seems faster. Curveball was 63-65 touching 66 with late break. Could be the top pitching prospect in the 2020 class in Colorado.  At the plate he hits from a crouched stance with a long stride for timing.  He shows good pull power and good bat control through the zone. Registered a 84 mph exit velo off the tee. Ran a 8.5 laser timed 60.

7-21-16
A 6-foot-0, 170-pound left hand hitting RHP who ran an 8.13 60.  On the mound he stands tall and gets good drive to the plate.  He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with good arm extension.  Fastball was 82 MPH.  At the plate he hits from a crouched stance with a long stride for timing.  He shows good pull power and good bat control through the zone.
