Game Performance

Notes

Comments

2/26/22

6 foot 2 190 pounds w/ proportional RHS build. Strike thrower w/ advanced feel for secondary stuff. One of the cleaner deliveries and arm actions this weekend. Deceptive short circle AA 3/4 slot. FB 84-87 T88 with angle & run. Has ability to paint edges with it more than he currently shows. Maintains arm speed very well on fading 74-76 CH. CB 69-71 for strikes has some sharpness.

PBR Showdown

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed pitcher, projectable frame, broad shoulders, strong lower half, frame seems to look better every time we get eyes on him, just starting to fill out, more to come from Engert as he continues to mature. Arm works short and loose with whippy speed, gets out front to a low ¾ slot. Fastball sat 83-86 with run. Mixed in a 12/6 breaking ball that had depth and late bite, 66-69.

2/22/20

6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed pitcher, strong, sturdy frame for a young prospect, athletic build, has a high potential given what his frame currently carries and will carry down the line. Short arm action before whipping his arm out front to a low ¾ slot, lulls the batter with a slow draw and then explodes to release. Entered the game in relief in the sixth inning with men on base, handled the pressure well, especially as a freshman. Fastball sat 83-85 with running action, pitch routinely had late movement to it. Curveball, 64-67, still gaining feel for the pitch.

8/29/19

6-foot, 170 pound frame that is still growing in to frame. Raw ability with a live arm that will only get better as coordination continues to get better.
