Currently ranked No. 28 in the state’s 2027 class. 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame. Served as the DH and batted fifth in the lineup during the regional championship against McHenry. Whitney helped pave the way offensively, collecting three hits with two RBIs while consistently putting together quality at-bats in key situations. The left-handed hitter showed confidence in the box with feel to hit and the ability to use the whole field, with two of his three hits going to left field. An underclass name for schools to follow.

At the plate, the left-hander works out of a simple setup, employing an uphill path that creates some jump off the barrel. Whitney showed some easy jump of the bat in the game, finishing 1-for-3 with an RBI single on a hard ground ball to right field.
