5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting two-way prospect, broad shoulders, strength throughout frame. On the mound, arm plays long and clean with good speed to a high ¾ slot, projects to add more velo given how arm works. Drop and drive delivery, works on-line, lands toe-closed, finishes square to home. Fastball sat 81-83 with late run to it. Curveball, 11/5 shape, depth, 64-68. Changeup, fade action, 77. Struck out three of the five batters he faced, did not allow a ball in play. Offensively, open setup, loads hands back fluidly, short leg kick timing trigger, stays balanced through contact. Takes a power approach at the plate, looks to do damage with each and every swing, used the entire field, going with the pitch, 84 exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, short arm action, some looseness, comes out of a high ¾ slot, 80 across the infield. Sound defender, gets to fielding position early, clean on transfers for the most part, at-times will pack.

Reece Chambers (2021; Cherokee Bluffs High School) settles in nicely for Ozone Warriors. Strike thrower at 82-84; late tail to pitch. Inducing many weak ground outs and fly outs. Strong hitter at the plate tonight, too.
10/04/19
Thick build at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Impressed on the mound and at the plate over the weekend. Showed advanced hands in the infield and good carry on throws. Swung the bat with aggression. On the mound, showed feel for the zone, primarily using fastball to get outs. Fastball sat 82-84 with late tail through the zone. Solid arm that knows how to pitch.
9/15/2018- Ozone Sports Organizational Scout Day: Chambers is a medium framed two-way player from North Hall high school. He has a broad shoulders and some size in his lower half. At the plate he uses a smooth rhythmic load and a strong base to produce present gap power. He has the makings of a kid that can grow into more power, but will have to make a commitment in the strength department. Defensively Chambers profiles to a corner infield position. At the next level Chambers may move across the infield to first-base, but will need to grow into his power potential. On the mound Chambers uses an up tempo side step delivery. He shows a good arm stroke out of a full arm swing. His fastball touches 76 mph and sits in that 73-75 range. His slider flashes tilt at 69-71. He also throws a change that shows good hand-side fade at 71. Chambers best chance at the next level will be a commitment to get stronger, as he shows solid baseball actions and feel for the game.
