The UIC commit, Terronez tossed a complete game to get the 2A regional semifinal win. In seven innings of work, the southpaw had 16 strikeouts , two walks, allowed no runs, and four hits, propelling Sherrard into the regional championship.

Illinois-Chicago commit, currently ranked No. 75 in the state. Lean 6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic frame with room to add strength. Started on the mound and hit out of the three-hole. Terronez threw a complete game on Wednesday as he struck out 13 batters, allowing three hits, one earned run, and two walks. Terronez broke a 20-year record at Sherrard as he picked up his 131st strikeout on Wednesday to claim the single season strikeout record. The left-hander operates from a simple, easy delivery with a medium leg lift with tuck while having a drop/drive approach. Loose, clean, full arm action from a low ¾ slot. Fastball sat 87-89 while topping out at 90 with arm-side run. Mixed in a slider that sat 76-79 with depth and late actions. Also, showed a changeup that sat 82-83 and played towards the bottom of the zone. The left-hander also connected on two hits at the plate for Sherrard.

The UIC commit had a big week all-around. On the mound the southpaw got the win against Rockridge tossing six innings allowing only two hits, two walks, one run (first run allowed all season) and struck out 13, helping him surpass 250 career strikeouts at Sherrard. At the plate, finished 4-for-8 with five walks, a double, six RBIs, two runs and hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 6th to break a 3-3 tie vs Princeton that served as game winning hit.

6-foot-1, 170-pounds, lean and projectable frame. The southpaw impressed with a fastball up to 87 mph, cruising around 83-86 mph with the ability to pound the zone. He was also able to land his curveball and changeup for strikes, with the CB playing in the low-70s with 1/7 shape and the CH coming in at 76-78 mph. Easy operation with more in the tank.
