Joliet JC commit. Projectable frame with room to fill out, high-waisted and standing 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Started on the mound for Romeoville and tossed a complete-game shutout against No. 25 Oswego East with six innings, three hits and four strikeouts. Long/loose arm out of the glove that plays from a ¾ slot. The slender right-hander moves with a controlled pace down the mound with a flexible leg-lift into balance point, also working with a slight drop/drive lower-half that stays in-line when striding down the mound. The right-hander recorded plenty of swings and misses on his fastball thanks to some arm-side life and finish through the zone, cruising at 80-83 mph for the majority of his start. De Leon went to an 11/5 breaking ball with some slurve qualities, hovering in the 68-69 mph range with depth and feel for the zone.
