A varsity contributor since his sophomore year, Doty’s velocity spiked in the fall, when he showed a clean an easy 85-87 fastball from an over-the-top arm slot. Doty, who has long legs and arms, also impressed with his curveball, in the 74-75 range, with sharp 12/6 action. With his body type and looseness, Doty looks to be one of the bigger sleepers in the class.
