Transferred to John A. Logan JC from Missouri.

4.23.16 - Missouri recruit, currently ranked No. 18 in Illinois’ 2016 class, No. 254 overall. 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame, muscular build, rock-solid, strong shoulders. All-around excellent player, does everything on the field well. Above-average arm strength, athletic feet, agile blocker; showed improved flexibility receiving, getting down Tony Pena-style at times. Offensively, broke open a shutout with a two-run homer to left field that propelled team to victory. Then in the seventh, he fought off a one-out, two-strike curveball up in the zone for a double down the right field line. Later scored the game-winning run when he stole home on a double steal.

5.22.15 - Showed off athleticism running 4.07 on a sacrifice bunt in the seventh. Committed to Missouri, possess elite catch-and-throw skills behind the plate, but also looks the part of a SEC third baseman. Soft hands in pregame, short, quick, accurate arm, above average carry across the infield. Made great play on a hard hit, one-hop liner off the bat of Mateo Zunica in the first. 4.27.15 - 5-foor-10, 180-pound, right-handed hitting third baseman with a strong, compact frame, plus athlete. Missouri commit, currently ranked No. 11 in the Illinois Class of 2016. Also highly regarded as a catcher (1.94-1.97 pop times) played third base in game. Showed soft, sure hands with fluid, athletic actions. Playing off the line in game took a hard hit ball down the line and played it into a run thru making a strong accurate throw to get the runner at first. At the plate hits from a balanced slightly open stance with a minimal load. Moves well down the line 4.26 on a groundout. Went 1-4 in game with a 2B and an RBI.

2.15.15 - Missouri commit. 5-foot-10, 180-pound catcher/third baseman, strong solid build, stocky with strength. Offensively hits from an open stance, short stride, excellent balance. Quick hands, short path, line drive gap to gap approach. Defensively behind the plate used a short over the top arm action, accurate arm, showed some carry, 77 mph arm from the crouch. Feet work directionally, 2.01-2.08 pop times. At third feet worked very athletically, hands gather and pat before release. 79 mph arm strength across the diamond.
1.24.15 - committed to Missouri.
8/1/14 - Lewis impressed both at third base and behind the dish during Thursday’s workout, but his future most likely lies behind the plate due to his advanced catch and throw skills.  What’s most impressive about his 1.94-2.0 pop times is his ability to consistently put the ball on the bag at the infielder's knee.  Lewis shows advanced athleticism for a catcher, running a 7.02 60, and 4.18 on 4.2 on two separate ground outs during game play.  He has above average bat speed and quick hands at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three singles and a stolen base on Saturday.  He needs work on his receiving, but has plus makeup and was a pleasure to be around over the three day event.  Lewis will also start at running back for the Caravan this fall, and his physical build won’t be fun to bring down for Catholic League defenders.

4/26/14 Ranked No. 10 in Illinois’ class of 2016, No. 43 overall.  Fielded one ball cleanly at third.  Catcher is primary position, but handled himself very well at third.  Soft hands, attacked baseball, fluid actions on run through ball with good body control.  Showed short powerful arm action.  Plenty of arm strength on back hand, impressive carry on throws, gets rid of the baseball quickly.  Hits with hands lower, short powerful stroke.  Singled sharply through the right side, showed ability to let ball get deep and hit hard the other way.  4.62 runner on groundout to short, but slow getting out of the box.  High level follow, with ability to play multiple positions.

1.19.14 - High-level catching prospect. Athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pound frame, wide shoulders, physically developed. All-around advanced set of tools. Advanced offensive prospect; simple, quiet mechanics yet creates explosive bat speed, tremendous barrel whip through zone. Simple, repeatable swing; short stride, minimal load, maintains excellent balance throughout, gap-to-gap approach, loose, athletic hands, stays flat through zone. Defensively, has extremely athletic feet, receives with confidence and maturity. Has quick, athletic transfer, good directional footwork, ball stays on line, accurate pop times ranging between 2.01-2.07. Registered 73 mph from crouch. Showed the athleticism and hands to play third base as secondary position, but no doubt will stick behind the plate. Ran a 7.09 60.
6/13/12 Lewis is a 5-foot-8, 155-pound catcher who showcased an advanced approach at the plate with a polished swing.  Lewis features a balanced setup with a smooth load and efficient approach to the baseball.  He generates good whip through the zone as he sprayed line drives to all fields.  Defensively, Lewis is a mature catcher for his age, showing advanced footwork and an accurate arm from behind the plate.  He had a best pop time of 2.12.  Additionally, Lewis ran a 7.22 60.
