Parkland Scout Day: Broad-shouldered, mature bodied righty with good arm strength. Very good extension out front from lower 3/4 release point. Fastball up to 94 mph. High spin, power sink at times. Typically a plus pitch, Gordon dropped down a bit further on his release point for 77-79 backup slider. Showed tighter spin, but flat action on this look. Some showed more cut shape than the depth of a slider. Vulcan changeup 81-83 mph. High effort delivery. Leg sweep and spin finish.
10.9.17 - Verbally committed to Bradley.
6.15.17 - 6-foot-3, 207-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Drop and drive delivery with maximum effort. Struggles to command pitches. Fastball sat 83-86 topping out at 87 mph. Curveball has gradual action at 69-70 mph. Changeup sat 77-80 mph.
6.8.16 - 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. On the mound works from a ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action. Drop and drive delivery with some effort. Good explosion in the lower half. Low elbow, occasionally gets underneath pitches. Works uphill with his fastball that is straight at 84-87 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 64-67 mph. Changeup sat72-75 mph. Live arm with erratic command.
