2/18/18 - Johnson is a strong 6-foot-2 220-pound right-handed pitcher in Illinois 2019 class. Johnson high three quarters arm slot, hands raise with leg lift, should remain level with an in line stride, throws with regular effort, fastball worked 81-84 mph, curveball at 70-72 mph, 11-to-5 shape, change up at 77-79 mph, near fast ball arm speed, showed command for all pitches.

2/19/17 - Johnson is a 6-foot-2 200-pound right-handed pitcher in Illinois’ 2019 class. Johnson has an over the top release with an arm that works, in line stride, accelerated down the mound, throws with some effort, body stays under control, high number of strikes with three pitches, fastball has late life with two-seam action, 80-83 mph, curveball has 12-to-6 shape, 68-70 mph, gradual downward action, change up at 72-76 mph, down in zone, near fastball arm speed, occasional sink.

6.8.16 - 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, solid build with strength for his age. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, average balance. Pull side contact, path casts, 77 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.83 runner in the 60. Tall and fall delivery on the mound, maintains level shoulders, slightly closed landing. Arm action is slightly shorter, over the top slot. Fastball sat 76-78 mph, topped at 79 mph. Curveball has slurve type action, 11/5 plane, 61-65 mph. Slider played at 63-66 mph, similar actions to curveball. Changeup ranged 64-71 mph.

3.9.14 - 5-foot-7, 128-pound two way player. On the mound his delivery is smooth with regular effort and throws slightly across body. Arm works short, high ¾ slot. Fastball was 65-69 mph with run and sink. Curveball works on an 11/5 plane with sweeping break, 50-54 mph, better action when thrown harder. Changeup flashed some sink, sitting 54-61 mph, touching 63 mph once. At the plate hits from an open stance, short stride, low hands. Swing has late rhythm and solid bat speed. Exit velocity off the tee was 65 mph. Ran an 8.51 60.
