5.10.18- University of Chicago commit. Currently ranked No. 101 in the 2018 Illinois’ class. 5-foot-11, 165-pound, left-handed hitting catcher, athletic frame. Started behind the plate for the Mustangs and showed vocal leadership throughout the contest. Defensively plays with fluid rhythmic actions. Smooth footwork, agile blocker, quick recovery, soft hands, sticks pitches. Short, loose arm action, clean, high ¾ slot, made accurate throws to second with carry in between innings. Also, one hopped balls right on the bag from his knees with easy effort. Quick transfer, pop times ranged between 2.05-2.09 in between innings. Hits in the two-hole and finished 2-for-2 with a double and hit by pitch. Open setup, leg lift trigger, smooth load. Loose hands, stays inside the ball with a natural uphill path and gap-to-gap approach. Laced a single to the right side and lined a hard opposite field double to left.
8.8.17 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound catcher. Advanced defender, controls the game well, vocal defender with leadership qualities. Arm action is short and over the top, 75 mph out of the crouch, carried on  line and accurate. Hands are soft, receives well, quick clean exchange. 2.05-2.15 pop times. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, smooth loading action good balance. Sprayed hard line drives in BP, worked the middle of the field. 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Ran a 7.87 laser timed 60.

4.17.17 - Currently ranked No. 91 in the 2018 Illinois’ class. 5-foot-11, 160-pound, left-handed hitting catcher with a medium frame. Presents great target to throw to, lets the ball come to him and has soft, strong hands.  Anticipates the ball in the dirt and blocks well.  Has short arm action with a 2.08 pop time, feet work in his transfer. Offensively, wide stance, with a toe-tap and slight load/separation, gets out on his front side at times. Went the other way in one at-bat.

2.19.17 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound left-handed hitting catcher, average frame, longer torso. Advanced defender, soft hands, quick exchange, 1.94-2.07 pop times. Quiet receiver, sets up with taller lower half, flat back, keeps glove under the baseball. Blocks well, agile to his feet. Arm action is short and over the top, quick release 75 mph out of the crouch. Offensively hits from the left side, balanced stance, short stride. Path works uphill through the baseball, lifts. 80 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.64 runner in the 60.

4.18.16 - 5-foot-11, 150-pound, wiry, left-handed hitting catcher. Defensively, athletic actions and clean exchange out of the crouch. Prototypical catchers arm action; short and over-the-top. True throws, consistently on the bag in between innings and pop times ranged between 2.01-2.18. Blocked well and routinely stuck the pitch at the bottom of the zone. Offensively, aggressive hitter and a pull approach. Smooth load and uphill bat path. Final line – 1-for-3, run scored.
