Lewis commit, currently ranked No. 149 in the Illinois 2022 class. Strong-bodied, 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame, wide shoulders with a thick lower-half. Started behind the plate for the Bulldogs and impressed with his ability to handle one of the premier arms in the state. The Lewis-bound backstop showcased soft/receptive hands, letting the ball travel and working under pitches to present them in the zone. His arm plays true down to second, playing with back-spin and moving with a clean transfer; recorded a 1.96 pop during warmups. He also proved to be an active and willing blocker; moving athletically for his size from side to side, working to block pitches well off the plate and deadening them out front. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in a wide/athletic stance, moving into a short/repeatable stride. His hands start with some separation from his body and move with a flat path through the hitting zone, possessing some clear bat-strength, finishing the day with a single and three RBIs. Reliable backstop and impressive vocal leader on the field.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, short stride and quiet load. Loose hands, creates easy bat speed, ball jumps off the barrel, natural lift and finishes on balance.

Arm: RH. C - 78 mph. Short arm action, over-the-top slot, consistently around the second-base bag.
