5.4.18 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound infielder, lean athletic shape, smaller but young build. Starting SS, hits two-hole. Clearly the captain of the infield as a sophomore, high baseball IQ and extension of the coaching staff on the field. Presently his defense is further along than his bat, hands are soft, smooth defender, average arm, natural internal clock. Right-handed hitter, athletic setup, drifts at times in load, lacks separation. Handsy swing, works inside out the baseball, opposite field approach, singles guy. Will compete for his hits, sees pitches, quality at bats. 4.41 down the line on a sac bunt.
4.12.18 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound, right-handed hitting, infielder. Starts at shortstop as a sophomore for Oswego. Plays with an extremely-high baseball IQ for his age. Knows what he is going to do with the baseball before it is hit to him. Routinely looks to throw behind runners, deek runners on the basepaths, communicates, plays with energy and takes charge despite being an underclassman. Athletic actions, quick feet, ranges well to both sides, can handle the run through play athletically and maintains body control. Confident, soft hands and an ultra-quick exchange. Made a web-gem type play on a ball up the middle and started the 6-4-3 double play. Offense is currently behind his defense. Balanced setup, pre-pitch rhythm in his hands and overall simple approach. Looks to control the barrel, bat stays short to the ball and level through the zone. Will benefit with added strength. Ended the day 0-for-3 with a line-out to the center fielder, 4.75 on the turn. Follow 2020 middle infielder.
