Notre Dame commit, currently ranked No. 23 in the Illinois’ 2019 class. 5-foot-9, 195-pound, right-handed hitting third baseman; compact, sturdy build, present strength, thick lower half. Started at third base and hit in the three-hole. Offensively, takes consistent, competitive at-bats. A number of aggressive, quality swings throughout. Swings with intent, looks to do damage and rarely chases pitches out of the zone. Hits from a wide, strong base, minimal wasted movements and quick, strong bat. Finished the day 1-for-3 with an RBI single up the middle. Defensively, natural at third base. Fluid footwork, soft sure-hands, works through the baseball, can play on the move and strong arm across the infield.

7/10/18 - University of Notre Dame commit. 5-foot-9, 195-pound, right-handed hitting catcher, thick frame with present lower half strength. Offensively, crouched, wide setup, minimal pre-pitch actions, keeps it short and simple. Static lower half, strong hands, quick wrists, gets the barrel through the zone, flashed hard pull side pop, quick bat speed, exit velocity topped 96 mph from a tee. 6.93 runner in the 60, 4.36 time to first. Fleet footed behind the plate, explodes out of the crouch, exchanges are quick and clean, short arm, over the top slot, throws topped 79 mph from the crouch. Pop times ranged from 2.00-2.08.

2017 Future Games (8.2.17) - 5-foot-10, 200-pound, physical, strong, defined lower half, catcher/third baseman with a low center of gravity. Gritty, hard-nosed player who finds a lot of barrels at the plate. Right-handed hitter, wide setup, simple overall approach, no stride and gets into his backside to hit. Utilizes strong lower half to generate above-average bat speed and strength through contact. Ball jumps off his bat, looks to elevate and drive the baseball with authority. 97 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, plays with a bounce in his step and has the ability to play third base and catch. May be best suited behind the plate. Agile behind the plate, willing blocker, soft hands and strong wrists receiving. Quick, clean transfer, arm works short and over-the-top clocked at 75 mph. Pop times ranged between 2.02-2.12. Steady defender at third base, makes all the routine plays. Also, ran a 6.92 laser-timed 60.

5.15.17 - 5-foot-8, 170-pound, right-handed hitting infielder, stocky build, strong lower half and big forearms. Defensively, playing a strong third base despite playing out of position; natural catcher. At third base, has athletic actions and quick feet.  Quick first step, good hands with a strong, accurate arm.  At the plate, has an open set up with rhythm and a no stride swing.  Loads back and throw his hands with a short compact swing.  Present bat speed, gets extension through contact with raw power in swing. Drove a ball to centerfield for a home run.  Patient at the plate, selective approach. 2019 hitter with a lot of upside with the bat. Potential top of the order bat at the next level.
