3/15/19

Kent State commit. 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, lean frame. Delivery works online, squared landing. Arm action plunges on back side, high ¾ slot. Fastball played firm, occasional tilt, sitting 86-87 mph. Curveball has lateral action 72-74 mph, slurve type.

10.30.18 - Verbally committed to Kent State.

9.16.18 - 6-foot-3, 185-pound, long-limbed, athletically-built, right-handed pitcher with plenty of room for continued physical development. Came out of the bullpen in game one of the event. One of the top unsigned seniors in Illinois. Long arm action, deep on the backside, works quick out of a high ¾ slot. Pounded the zone with a fastball that climbed as high as 88 mph, sat mostly 86-87 mph; works mostly straight, occasional arm-side action. Slider was his out-pitch; maintains arm speed, thrown for strikes, tight spin, late 10/4 action, 76-77 mph.

6.12.18 - 6-foot-3, 185-pound, athletic right-handed pitcher. Long arm action, stab on back-side, quick arm speed. Drop and drive delivery with some rhythm, works directionally towards home, lands toe closed and finishes in an athletic position. Fastball, mostly straight, occasional cut, sat 84-85. Slider, 11/5 shape, gradual break, 69-72. Changeup, fade action, 74-77.

3.17.18 - 6-foot-2, 180-pound, right-handed pitcher, athletic, long build. Started on the mound for Oswego East; gave up one hit and struck out two in three innings of work. Slight drop and drive delivery, works on-line and lands toe closed. Arm works long and quick from a high ¾ slot. Fastball works mostly straight, occasional arm-side-run, sat 84-85 mph, touched 86. Tendency to slow arm speed on offspeed offerings. Curveball, flashed tight spin, 11/5 shape, 73-74 mph. Changeup, work straight, 74 mph.

6.7.17 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound right-handed pitcher with a thin, lanky frame. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a long, quick arm action. Stab and wrap on the backside. Drop and drive delivery with a closed landing. Fastball was straight at 84-86 topping out at 87 mph. Curveball has 11-5 shape at 64-67 mph. Slider projects better than curveball, sharper breaking action at 69-71 mph. Changeup was straight, thrown aggressively at 75-78 mph.

1.15.17 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound right-handed pitcher, thin build on long frame, projectable. Tall and fall delivery, regular effort, works on line with closed front side. Arm action is loose, backside plunge, longer path, high ¾ slot. Fastball is straight, four seam type, 81-82 mph, touched 83 mph, showed ability for command. Curveball has 12/6 shape with gradual action and above average depth, showed feel for the zone, 64-66 mph. Good feel for changeup, fades to arm side, 71-74 mph. Well above average three pitch feel for his age.

10.23.16 - 6-foot-2, 160-pound, athletically built, long, projectable right-handed pitcher. Features a four pitch repertoire. Smooth tall and fall delivery, stays on-line and minimal effort throughout. Athletic arm action, works loose, quick and out of a high ¾ window. Lively fastball, good finish through the zone, mostly straight, occasional arm-side-run and sat 79-82 mph. Changeup is currently his best secondary offering; feel, arm-side-run, flashed swing and miss action, sat 72-73 mph. Curveball, works 11/5 and sat 65-66 mph. Slider, shorter break and more lateral action than curveball, ranged between 67-69 mph. 2019 follow.
