6/14/12 Regez is an athletically built 6-foot-1, 155-pound catcher who displayed a level, line drive swing from the left side. Regez impressed with his ability to consistently barrel up the baseball, spraying line drives to all fields. He demonstrated barrel control and swing looseness throughout. Behind the plate, Regez showed the ability to handle all types of pitching. He has quick feet and exchange that resulted in a best pop time of 2.04 and was clocked at 71 mph from the crouch. Additionally, Regez ran a 7.33 60.
The 5-foot-11, 125-pound Regez is an athletic left-handed hitting catcher with considerable upside potential. At the plate, Regez used a gap-to-gap approach and compact swing to barrel balls on either side of the plate. Defensively, he showed impressive footwork and a quick release. His pop times consistently ranged between 2.07-2.20. Regez should be an impact player once he develops physically.
