Heartland CC commit, ranked 75th overall in the Illinois’ 2023 class. 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, physical with wide shoulders and strength in the lower half. Drew the start for Sycamore in the 3A state semi-final against Nazareth Academy. Aggressive load on the back leg propels the upper body through delivery, slightly closed. Arm is lively and loose, full ¾ arm slot, ball comes out of the hand effortless. Fastball sat 87-90 mph T91 mph with definite carry, able to get in on right-handed hitters. Consistent depth on a low 70s curveball. Flashed a mid 80s change-up to keep hitters off balance. A power arm with physicality and upside on the mound.
Heartland CC commit. In Sycamore’s 10-0 win over Plano, Amptmann threw a complete game (5 IN) with nine strikeouts, two walks, and two hits allowed.
Heartland CC commit. Stands at a strong 6-foot-2, 210-pounds. Started on the mound for the Spartans and pitched five innings, struck out eight, walked two, allowed three hits, and no earned runs. Quick, uptempo worker, high effort with high leg-lift tuck, coil into balance point. Drop and drive delivery, foot stays closed at landing. Long, quick arm, with acceleration out front, high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 87-89 mph with life and carry. Curveball sat 73-74 mph with 11/5 shape, landed at the bottom of the zone.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, leg kick stride. Quick hands, long, uphill bat path, smooth rhythm and looks to drive the ball in the air.

Defense: Fluid footwork and clean exchanges.
Run: 4.69 runner home-to-first.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, level shoulders, works in-line, lands square and finishes athletic.
Arm Action: RH. Short, quick arm action, over the top arm slot.
FB: T79, 77-78 mph. Plays straight.
