Truman State commit. 6-foot-2, 205-pound, right-handed hitting two-way player, high-waisted frame with strength. At the plate, rocks at pre-pitch, wide setup, hands load back, minimal stride. Strong hands, path worked uphill with some length, present bat speed, showed ability to lift with power potential in swing. Exit velocity topped 97 mph. Defensively, quick and active footwork, reliable hands, athletic fielding position. Long draw from glove, high ¾ slot, throws topped 77 mph across. 4.54 runner, home-to-first. On the mound, side rocker step into a sturdy balance, tall and fall delivery, works in-line, toe lands closed, upright at finish. Two-part arm action, looseness out front, high ¾ slot. Fastball had run with occasional sink, sat 80-82 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, gradual break, sat 71-72 mph. Changeup played at 76 mph, near fastball arm speed. 

6-foot-2, 210-pound, strong-bodied, right-handed pitcher. On-line delivery, lands closed and finishes upright. Clean arm action, comes out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball worked mostly straight, around the zone, sat 80-82 mph, touched 83. Curveball gained feel as his outing went along, 11/5 shape, occasional depth and tight action, 71-72 mph. Started and went five innings, scattering three hits, no earned runs and striking out six.

Owens is a strong 6-foot-2 210-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Illinois' 2020 class.  He ran a 7.18 60 and has an exit velocity of 98 mph. At the plate, starts in a wide stance, slight load with weight to load, minimal stride, has range in swing, fast bat speed, aggressive, stays under control, gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, fields ball in athletic position, gathers feet to create momentum, shuffles feet to throw, mostly accurate throws, 81 mph positional velocity. On the mound, Owens comes from an over the top arm slot, controlled to balance point, accelerates down the mound, lands in line, loose arm action, throws with some effort, fastball sat at 82-83 mph, touching 85 mph, some with hard running action and tilt, breaking ball has 12-to-6 action, sharp and late action, lands for strikes, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 76-78 mph, late sinking action.

Simple swing, creates advanced bat speed, long and level through the zone and gap-to-gap approach. 95 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, steady hands at first base. Long arm action, over-the-top slot and throws topped at 81 mph. 4.51 runner, home-to-first. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, linear delivery, works on-line and lands front-toe closed. Arm works long and out of an over-the-top slot. Fastball, downward tilt, thrown for strikes, 79-81 mph, touched 82. Curveball, 11/5 shape, thrown for strikes, 70-73 mph. Changeup, straight action, feel, 73-76 mph.
