True sophomore. Physical build listed at 6-foot-5, 230-pounds, evenly proportioned strength throughout. The right-handed hitter showed easy bat-strength in his round of BP, reaching up to 350’ for his max distance with a max EV of 94.6 mph. Simple and repeatable right-handed stroke, Tobin routinely put the ball on line to his pull-side/middle. Steady defender at first base, fluid footwork around the bag with a strong arm (T85 mph), flashed soft hands.
Uncommitted. Physical, 6-foot-5, 225-pound frame, strong build with broad shoulders. Started at first base and hit out of the three-hole for Prairie Ridge. The right-handed hitter starts in an athletic stance, back knee slightly bent inwards and works with a quick/repeatable stride into footplant. Hands work quick/direct to the ball with a flat path, easy bat strength and swings with intent. Showed well at first base during IO; soft hands with athletic actions, moves well for size with fluid footwork around the base; also flashing a strong arm on throws to third base
