Heartland Scout Day: Converted shortstop with loose arm and feel for the bump. Lower effort. Repeats delivery. Good arm speed from 3/4 release point. Deceptive 90-91 mph heater with late life. Solid bite and break to 76-78 mph spiked curveball. Good feel for low-spin 81-83 mph changeup. Threw for strikes. Potential late bloomer. Strong college follow this spring.
10/7/18 - 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, lean live body, athletic shape. Athletic delivery, tall and fall type, work in rhythm with tempo. Arm action draws short, loose out front, ¾ slot. Fastball played with slight sink action, 84-85 mph, touched 86 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 70-72 mph, above average feel. Changeup sinks, arm speed present, 75-77 mph.
5.22.18 - 6-foot, 160-pound two-way player, lean body type. Right-handed hitter, leadoff, middle to opposite field approach, line drive path. 4.75-4.86 on the turn. Hands play athletically, arm action has some length. On the mound works from a high ¾ slot, slight drop and drive type. Fastball touched 86 mph, sat 83-85 mph, creates some angle. Breaking ball played 71-75 mph, 11/5 shape.
