Hit: RHH. Upright setup, balanced stance, rhythmic hand load, leg lift stride, strong lower half. Loose hands with barrel control and bat speed, turns hard on back leg, pull side approach, ball jumps. 75.3 mph bat speed with 20 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 86.5 mph. 330' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Short, quick arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Bounce to first step, clean transfer, softness to hands, controls body well on slow roller.
ATH: 7.40 runner in the 60. 1.76 in the 10 yard split. 16.10 max vertical.
DeLeo is listed at an atheltic 6-foot-1, 175-pounds and he put together solid all-around day during our time in Waukesha. Offensively, DeLeo starts balanced in the right-handed box, showing off loose hands and barrel control during his loud round of BP. DeLeo led all players in attendance with a max exit velocity of 95.8 mph, while averaging 86.5 mph and his furthest batted ball traveled an estimated 330 ft, too. His defensive round was not to be forgotten either as he is a bouncy defender on the infield with a clean transfer and pairs it with an arm that topped at 83 mph across the diamond as well.
