5/22/15 - Ran 4.11 on a sacrifice bunt, made a game ending sliding catch on a hard hit sinking line drive in the seventh.

4/26/14 Louisville commit. Ranked No. 8 in Illinois’ 2015 class, No. 37 overall.  Impressive 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame with five-tool potential.  Definite room to add more weight and still stay fleet footed.  Doubled left sharply in first at bat on 72 mph change.  Flied out weakly to center in only other two at bats on hittable pitches up and out over the plate.  Hands reached and didn’t look to drive the other way.  Slightly open stance, mostly looking to pull right now, fast twitch wrists/hands.  In  pregame showed arm strength, but did not attack balls aggressively, waited back on throws to third and home.  Handled only chance on low liner to right cleanly.  Possible draft follow in 2015.

2/16/14 Louisville commit. Developed build, strong lower half, 6-foot-1, 195-pound right handed outfielder. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride, maintains excellent balance throughout. Hands are strong, creates advanced bat speed. Short path, contact point out in front. Creates lift, strong power hitter, 85 mph exit velocity. Defensively has a strong arm from the outfield, short over the top arm action, 86 mph from the crow hop, creates carry. Advanced foot speed, 6.70 runner in the 60. Stowers is one of the more physical athletes in the class. His powerful presence with the bat coupled with his dynamic foot speed is a rare combination of speed and power.

4/24/13 High level athlete, shows advanced strength, 6-foot, 175-pounds, advanced build. Highly advanced bat speed, shows extremely quick hands, balanced stance, long stride, occasionally late timing. Ball jumps off his bat, shows power potential. Louisville commit, No. 16 rank in the 2015 class.

1/22/12 Stowers is an athletic 6-foot, 175-pound outfielder who showed some juice in his bat.  Stowers has an easy, compact swing in which he consistently barreled up the baseball.  He used his quick hands and solid lower-half foundation to drive through the baseball. Stowers continued to show his athleticism by running a 7.15 60. In the outfield, he was clocked at 75 mph.

6/4/18 - Drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 2nd Round, 54th Overall.

3/14/18 - 6’0/205, Junior. Strong and athletic bodied. Plus runner with a shorter stride. Ran a 4.21 to 1B on a jailbreak, swinging bunt base hit. Showed base stealing instincts with a pair of stolen bases, running a 3.32 from the pitcher’s first movement to him touching the second base bag. A couple of pitches later he stole third base, anticipating well and showing good acceleration. In the outfield he showed a near average arm with average range. Offensively, showed some length to his swing and average bat speed. Late pitch recognition skills, but has improved a bit since high school. Good balance with a little too much weight on his backside; could benefit with more weight transfer forward. Swing path is more V-shaped, in and out of the hitting zone too quickly while pulling off the ball. He would benefit by taking more of a flat U-shaped swing path, which would allow him to keep the bat head in the zone longer while still lifting for more power.
