10/7/18 - 6-foot, 190-pound, strong lower half, wide-shouldered, two-way prospect. Right-handed hitter, open setup, long stride gets back to even, opposite field approach, 86 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, hands work steady, clean release, loose arm action, high ¾ slot and throws topped at 79 mph across the infield. 7.40 runner in the 60, laser-timed. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, smooth delivery, works on-line, lands closed. Long arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball, occasional running action, 76-77 mph, touched 78. Curveball, 11/5 shape, sharp action at times, 63-65 mph. Changeup, sink and fade action, 70-73 mph.
7/18/17: 60 Time: 7.62, Position Velocity: INF-76, Exit Velocity: 76. 5-foot-10, 180-pound, RHH hits from slightly open to close stance, using small leg left to load up onto toe. Weight and body drifts to contact at heel strike, with lower half being eliminated to swing. Front side had tendency to pull off and spin, struggling to stay on the outer half pitch. Hands and barrell get in strong position prior to hit, looks to have some pop when gets pitch he can handle and on time. Needs to clean up the lower half for consistency. Corner infielder, with bend at the waist to field, stood tall to throw. Short, ¾ arm action across the diamond. More flexibility and foot speed to gain in the future. On the mound, the RHP mixed all three pitches for strikes from a clean, ¾ arm action. Body has tendency to collapse down the mound. Fastball was straight at 71-73, with good command around the plate. Curveball was thrown with same arm speed, small downward break for a strike at 61-63. Changeup stayed arm side at 65-67.
