Unsigned Senior Showcase: Infielder Analysis

By Illinois Scouting Staff

On Oct. 7, our staff hosted the fall’s Unsigned Senior Showcase – an annual event for the area’s top talents belonging to the 2019 class who remain uncommitted. There were 160 prospects at The MAX taking part in the pro-style workout, performing in front of a collection of over 35 colleges. Already, 14 of the prospects in attendance have since committed to play at the next level.

The top two infielders from this showcase just so happen to be the two committed prospects of this group. Logan Mantz (Slinger, WI; Madison JC commit) and Maximus Bullock (Morgan Park; Triton JC) will both be headed to their next baseball destination following their senior seasons this spring.

Of the top talents who are still on the market, INFs Rhay Street (Rich Central) and Jack Moran (Loyola Academy) both remain unsigned. Both ran sub-7.00 marks in the 60-yard dash earlier this month and have some feel at the plate.

Check out the full reports below on the four aforementioned prospects, as well as the six other infielders who fill out the rest of this top-10 ranking. We’ve already published the Statistical Analysis from this showcase, as well as the breakdown of the day’s catchers. Keep an eye out tomorrow when we evaluate the group of outfielders from this event.
