Clean ¾ arm slot, arm works quick. Smooth, repeatable delivery; low-effort, athletic leg-lift at balance point, works downhill. Fastball sat 90-92 mph with extremely heavy 2-seam action at times; settled in at 89-91 mph later in the game, but still flashed 92 mph on occasion. Breaking ball was his go-to secondary offering, featuring sharp/late action off an 11/5 plane at 75-79 mph, tunneled well off his fastball. At 6-foot, 200 pounds the 2022 Illinois recruit pumped easy velo into the low-90s throughout his appearance, touching 94 with his best bolt. From a ¾ slot, Sanchez located his heater to both sides of the plate with average spin rates mostly in the 2100-2200s, topping out at 2306 rpm. Showed good feel while mixing in a 77-80 mph slider. Long arm action, slight plunging action, over-the-top slot; easy and loose out front. Fastball works mostly straight, occasional arm-side-run out of the stretch, sat 79-81 mph, touched 82. Curveball, 11/5 shape, sweeping action at times, 65-71 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, 73-75 mph. 7.13 runner in the 60, laser-timed. At the plate, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride, level bat path, line-drive approach and worked the middle of the field. 76 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, on the infield, long, easy arm action, changes angles, clocked at 81 mph.
