Justin combined with his twin brother, Jordan, to lead Herscher to the Class 2A supersectionals. A two-way threat, the athletically built Ruckman blasted 15 home runs, drove in 52 and scored 48 runs. On the mound, he amassed a 7-2 record with a 2.15 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 52 innings. As a sophomore, he went 4-2 with a 2.72 ERA.
