3.19.16 - Lindenwood commit. 6-foot-3, 190-pound, solid, athletic build, right-handed pitcher. Started the game on the mound against St. Joseph-Ogden where he flashed a power arm; touched 90 mph once during his outing. Short, quick arm action out of an over-the-top window: In-line direction, athletic finish. Fastball works mainly straight, thrown for strikes, up in the zone at times; ranged between 84-87 mph, touching 90 once in the first two innings. After the second inning his fastball sat 80-84 mph. Curveball, flashed feel, short, downer break, ranged between 70-75 mph. Mainly a two-pitch guy but did flash a couple changeups, straight action and clocked at 71-75 mph.

7.7.15 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, two-way player, projectable body, right-handed hitter. Hits from a tall stance, short stride, average balance. Above-average bat speed, level bat path, 84 mph exit velocity. Defensively displayed above average hands, clean exchange, short arm action, high ¾ slot, some accuracy, 80 mph across the infield. Ran a 7.43 60-time. On the mound displayed a tall-and-fall delivery, short arm action, quick arm speed, over-the-top arm slot, landing square, athletic finish. Straight fastball, thrown for strikes, sat 85 mph, touched 87 mph. Curveball showed 12/6 shape, 69-73 mph. Changeup showed arm-side-fade, 68-70 mph.
Hentis is a projectable 6-foot-1, 160-pound pitcher who showed command of his three pitches. He showed long back arm action with a controlled balance point and good rhythm. His fastball sat 74-78 mph, topping at 80-mph. He also showed a 10-to-4 early moving breaking ball and a 68-71 mph straight change up. As his frame continues to fill out and fine tune/smooth out his mechanics, he could be a pitcher to watch in the Class of 2016 in Illinois.
