Recent Kankakee CC commit, RHP/INF Lucas Rink (Wilmington), had a quality showing on the bump. The sturdy 6-foot, 189-pound right-hander featured a mid 80’s fastball (T85) with carry through the zone at an average of 18.9” of induced vertical break - which was one of the event’s best. Rink also had confidence in a 73-76 mph slider that he was able to throw for strikes 63% of the time. He finished with three strikeouts over his two innings of work.

UTIL Lucas Rink (Wilmington, 2025) 6-foot-1, 185-pounds. The left-handed hitter is an uncommitted bat to know in the state with some defensive versatility, seeing time both behind the plate and at third. Hit a home run on Thursday and followed up with a well-hit ball to deep left field for a fly out; loose, explosive hands work flat through the zone with easy jump off the barrel, especially to his pull-side. Rink is coming off an impressive spring campaign where he hit .400 with three home runs.
INF Lucas Rink (Wilmington, 2025) had himself a day on Monday, turning in a quality two-way showing that garners him a follow moving forward. He has a 6-foot-1, 181-pound frame with room to add on strength. The left-handed hitter displayed quick, strong hands through the zone with a flat path, reaching up to 92 mph for his max EV with a 319’ max distance. He showed some potential on the mound as well with a four-pitch mix, sitting in the 81-82 mph range with the fastball to set up his 12/6 curveball and lateral slider, both in the low-70s. His final offering was a mid-70s changeup with fading action.
