5/4/13 - Currently ranked No. 63 in Illinois’ 2014 class.  Athletically built 6-foot-1, 160-pound shortstop who appears to have taken his game up a notch. Truly impressive in the field against Glenbrook North, making several stellar plays. On one play, he broke to second base on a steal, had to cut back on a hit and run, fielded the ball to his backhand in the hole, and threw runner (4.50) out by step. Also made an impressive play up the middle. Has plenty of arm for shortstop (clocked at 85 across infield at Preseason All-State Showcase).  Offensively, Tursi delivered a walk-off hit with two outs in the bottom of the single, poking a single up the middle to give team an 8-7 comeback win. Finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBI and a sacrifice bunt (4.53).

2/17/13 - Athletic build, 6-foot-1, 160-pound middle infielder. Defensively, feet work well, 7.13 runner, plays quickly, solid defensive actions. Arm works well, shows carry, 85 mph across the diamond. Offensively, hits from a balanced stance, uses short stride. Bat path is level, line drive, gap to gap hitter. Projectable athlete with soft hands, arm strength and a line drive approach.
10/21/12 - Tursi has established himself as one of the top middle infield prospects in the Class of 2014. He’s an athletically built 6-foot-1, 160 pounder who has natural middle infield actions. He features soft, reliable hands and fields the ball with rhythm and purpose. He plays through the ball well and showed plenty of arm across the infield (82 mph). Offensively, he has a short and quick approach to the baseball who could acquire more power in the future.
6/12/12 Tursi is a projectable 6-foot-1, 160-pound shortstop who showed well in all facets of the game.  Tursi showed reliable hands up the middle, taking concise routes to the baseball, and demonstrated the ability to play through the baseball. He exhibited an accurate arm across the diamond (80 mph) with a quick, clean exchange. Offensively, Tursi exhibited power potential to the gaps as he was short to the ball with rhythm and balance throughout. Additionally, Tursi ran a 7.26 60.
Tursi is a lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 155-pound infielder. In the field, he showcased as one of the top defensive players at the event. Tursi displayed good actions and moved through the baseball with soft hands out front. At the plate, he showcased a strong lower half and good bat speed. Tursi consistently found the barrel with a level swing.
1/22/12 Tursi is an athletically built 6-foot-1, 160-pound shortstop who impressed with his defensive ability and feel at the position.  He showed the ability to play through the baseball and played the ball on the run well.  He took concise routes to the baseball, and demonstrated solid all-around defensive actions.  Additionally, he showed an accurate arm that was clocked at 80 mph from across the diamond.  At the plate, Tursi has a balanced setup and a fundamental approach at the plate.  Tursi also ran a 7.51 60.
