Carl Sandburg JC commit. Stands in a 6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame with more to come. Started on the mound and worked seven innings, allowing three hits, one walk and one run while striking out eight. Simple mover on the mound with a quick arm, worked at a quick tempo and attacked hitters throughout, inducing weak contact and throwing strikes consistently at 73%. Fastball sat 84-86 mph, paired with a curveball at 73-74 mph with 11/5 shape that garnered swing-and-miss. A name to continue to follow as he heads to Carl Sandburg JC.

Uncommitted. Lean, athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame with room to fill out. Showed well, throwing a complete game while striking out six batters and allowing one earned run. Smooth drop and drive delivery working out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 80-84 mph T85 with life through the zone, generating swings/misses. Tunneled a curveball off of that with depth at 66-67 mph.

RHP Mason Sauder (Metamora, 2026) made his Prep Baseball Illinois event debut on Tuesday and impressed our staff. Sauder stands in an athletic frame at 6-foot, 160-pounds with seemingly more strength to come. During his bullpen, Sauder showed a quick arm, and a fastball up to 85 mph, but sitting 81-84 mph. He mixed in a change-up with slight fade and depth, playing low in the zone at 77-78 mph. He rounded out his three-pitch mix with a 69-73 mph slider that played with short, tight spin, throwing it for strikes 80% of the time, per Trackman. After the event, Sauder emerged as an uncommitted follow.
