Throws 11/5 curveball consistently for strikes, in the 74-76 range; highly effective pitch. Fastball topped at 83 mph, sitting 81-82 for seven innings. Long, loose arm action, high-3/4 slot, slight wrap on backside. Struck out 6 and walked none in 7-hit complete game.

Allen is a 6-foot, 170-pound right-hander who operated from a high ¾ arm slot with rhythm throughout his mechanics. Allen’s fastball sat at 81-82 mph and displayed arm side run. He showcased a feel for his change up with fade down in the zone. His curveball exhibited an 11/5 shape and some depth. Allen was able to command the zone with three pitches.
