Sophomore. 6-foot, 180-pounds, upside frame with room to fill out. Hunzinger had a strong showing on both sides of the ball for the Blue Devils. At the plate, the left-handed hitter works with a loose/fluid stroke, remaining relatively short to the ball with a simple operation; producing a max exit velocity of 100.7 mph with an average of 94.7 mph (383’ max distance). Defensively, he topped out at 77 mph down to second with a pop-time as low as 2.00 seconds.

Body: 6-foot, 160-pounds. Athletic, well-proportioned frame.
Hit: LHH.  Simple swing, easy effort, loose hands, short uphill bat path, gap-to-gap approach and fluid rhythm.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. Short, loose arm action, works over-the-top. Throws flashed carry and consistently around the second base bag.
Defense: 2.08-2.17 pop times. Clean and easy out of the chute. Soft hands, directional, repeatable.
Run: 7.45 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Clean, repeatable, tall and fall delivery. Fluid rhythm, works on-line, lands square, front-toe slightly open.
Arm Action: Clean and easy out of the chute. Soft hands, directional, repeatable.. Long, loose and clean arm action from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 82-83 mph. Straight, four-seam ride at times.
CB: 67-70 mph. Maintains arm speed, 12/6 shape, tight spin, downer action at times.
CH: 76-78 mph. Sink and fade action.

2.17.19 - 6-foot, 150-pound left-handed hitting catcher, thin, long-limbed frame. At the plate, sets up even, minimal load, short stride to even. Path works uphill, ball gets deep, some rhythm involved. Exit velocity topped 79 mph from a tee. Defensively, pop times ranged 2.18-2.25. Fluid feet, gets in position to throw, short and loose arm action, high ¾ slot, 74 mph from the crouch. 7.33 runner in the 60.

10/13/18 - 6-foot, 150-pound, long-limbed, projectable, left-handed hitting catcher. At the plate, wide, balanced setup, short stride and stays balanced through contact. Fluid, easy swing, loose hands and minimal wasted movement. Path works short and level through the zone, line-drive approach and uses the entire field. 78 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, flexible behind the plate and smooth actions. Soft hands, confident receiver. Fluid footwork, clean out of the crouch and traditional catchers arm action; short and over-the-top. True four-seam throws, downhill at times and throws topped at 74 mph. Pop times ranged between 2.19-2.25. Ran a 7.44 laser-timed 60.

8/8/18 - 6-foot, 145-pound, athletically-built, well-proportioned, left-handed hitting catcher. Balanced, slightly crouched setup, smooth load and short stride. Loose hands, easy effort, controls the barrel, short, level bat path. Line-drive approach, uses the entire field and makes a lot of hard contact. 76 mph exit velocity from a tee. Behind the plate, clean, easy, natural catcher actions. Quick, clean release, body control. Short, over-the-top arm action, throws clocked at 72 mph from the crouch. Pop times ranged between 2.19-2.25. 7.58 laser-timed 60.
