Lotus impressed on Friday as he went 3-for-4 at the plate. The switch-hitter operates from a wide, balanced base with a small foot lift. Compact swing that is direct to the ball with strong hands. Whole field approach with quality bat-to-ball abilities. In his first plate appearance, Lotus connected on a line drive into center field for a single. Worked an eight-pitch at-bat for a walk in his second plate appearance. In his third plate appearance, Lotus connected on an inside-pitch for a double into right field. Smooth operator at second base.

So much more to come in his 5-foot-9, 143-pound frame and overall game. Switch-hitter, played second base and hit out of the two-hole. Only saw him hit right-handed against a left-handed arm on Saturday. Controls the barrel, looks to use the entire field and stays within himself.
