5/20/26
Lewis commit. Currently ranked No. 60 in the state. Twitchy, athletic 5-foot-9, 136-pound frame. Batted leadoff and started at second base before moving over to shortstop later in the game for the Vikings. A switch-hitter who batted exclusively from the left side in this one, Lotus continues to show to be one of the tougher outs in the area. He has high bat-to-ball skills and works deep counts routinely, tallying a double the other way late in the game and showcasing his ability to hit the ball where it's pitched. Defensively, he is an athletic and versatile defender up the middle with the necessary tools to stick there at the next level.

Lewis signee. Currently ranked No. 65 in the state. Twitchy, athletic 5-foot-9, 136-pound frame. Batted second and played second base for the Vikings. A switch-hitter, Lotus has high bat-to-ball skills and easy foot speed out of the box and on the bases, posting home-to-first times in the 4.1s from both sides of the plate. His swing works short to the ball with some bat speed. Defensively, his actions have continued to tick up since our last look, and he has the ability to stick up the middle at the next level. Lotus is a name that continues to trend in the right direction.

8/05/25

MIF Mickey Lotus (St. Laurence, 2026) would showcase an athletic switch-hitting profile within the state’s senior class, producing a 6.59-second 60-yard dash and an event-best 3.58 max RSI. An athletic, narrow setup with a fluid, controlled load, Lotus would show a present feel for the barrel throughout his rounds of batting practice. From the left-side showed fluid hands with barrel control and line-drive intent. From the right side showed a direct and simple operation with similar line-drive intent. Athletic defender who was also up to 82 from across the diamond. Twitchy 5-foot-9, 137-pound frame.

6/19/25

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 120 in the state. Lean 5-foot-9, 143-pound athletic frame with room to add strength. Started at second and hit out of the two-hole. Lotus impressed on Friday as he went 3-for-4 at the plate. The switch-hitter operates from a wide, balanced base with a small foot lift. Compact swing that is direct to the ball with strong hands. Whole field approach with quality bat-to-ball abilities. In his first plate appearance, Lotus connected on a line drive into center field for a single. Worked an eight-pitch at-bat for a walk in his second plate appearance. In his third plate appearance, Lotus connected on an inside-pitch for a double into right field. Smooth operator at second base.

5/15/25

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 120 in the Illinois’ 2026 class. Could easily see him climbing up the board steadily as he moves closer to graduation. So much more to come in his 5-foot-9, 143-pound frame and overall game. Switch-hitter, played second base and hit out of the two-hole. Only saw him hit right-handed against a left-handed arm on Saturday. Controls the barrel, looks to use the entire field and stays within himself. Seems to pride himself on taking a quality at-bat. 6.79 runner and steady defender up the middle. Name to follow in the 2026 class.

4/16/25

Uncommitted, Lotus had a big week at the plate for the Vikings going 6-for-8 with three walks, a double, four RBIs, three runs, and five stolen bases.

3/07/25

On the infield, he showed quick feet and soft hands with an ultra-quick release.
