Brubaker went 6-for-13 at the plate, hitting one double, three home runs, four RBI, and four runs scored along with two walks. Two of his home runs came in a 5-2 win over Crete-Monee. He also pitched two scoreless innings on opening day, striking out four batters.

Sturdy frame, low effort delivery that showed advanced feel for the zone earning a 70% strike rate. Fired a four-inning complete game allowing one hit and striking out seven batters. Mostly two pitches, a fastball that sat at 75-78 mph throughout his start also flashed a straight changeup.
