Wisconsin-Parkside signee. Strong, well-proportioned 6-foot, 190-pound athlete. Toed the rubber for the Hilltoppers in the 2A state championship game. Athletic mover down the mound, stays in rhythm and gets onto his backside early. Throws with intent and effort downhill, finishes onto a firm lead leg and maintains direction through release. Short arm stroke, over-the-top release. Fastball touched 88 mph in the first, sat in the mid-80s throughout with life and tilt down in the zone. Turned to a tightly spun slider at 72-74 mph, landed it for strikes, especially to the arm-side corner of the plate. 

After impressing at The Rock earlier this summer, RHP Nate Ciemny (Joliet Catholic, 2023) continued to show live stuff in this look. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound incoming senior pitched at 82-85 mph with his fastball from a quick arm, spinning a sharp, tight 71-74 mph breaking ball to pair.

Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 5-11, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Medium/high leg with a slight coil into balance point, tall/fall lower-half with a slight bend in the back knee throughout stride, remains in-line with the plate.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm path into a high 3/4 slot, quick arm.
FB: T85.3, 82-85 mph. Slight running action at times, plays with some finish through the zone. T2216, 2042 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. Sharp 11/5 action with downer shape, flashed late bite. T2318, 2246 average rpm.
CH: 76-78 mph. Slight fading action to the arm-side. T1603, 1567 average rpm.

Body: 5-11, 160-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, leg kick, short stride. Aggressive swing, average bat speed of 69.3 MPH, path works slightly uphill, inside the ball, gap-to-gap approach, line drives.
Power: 89.7 max exit velocity, averaged 77.85 mph. 286’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 arm slot.
Defense: Steady hands, quick exchanges, plays through the ball at times.
Run: 7.10 runner in the 60. 

Positional Profile: INF/RHP; An emerging sophomore follow.
Body: 5-11, 160-pounds. Lean, projectable build.
Delivery: Slow-tempo, rhythm to athletic balance point. Fluid balance in stride down mound; smooth momentum to landing. Lands slightly early, closed position, toe closed. Some effort and recoil in an athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long draw down, abrupt and quick to high 3/4 slot. Loose, quick arm.
FB: T81, 80-80 mph. Above-average spin rate for age and velocity (max of 2,105 rpm). Some natural arm-side run, carry through the zone (18.3 inches of average induced vertical break).
CB: 63-64 mph. Breaks early, feel to spin and flashed an ability to spot it. Features some gradual action with depth off a 10/4 plane. Projects as he continues to develop.
CH: 69-70 mph. Decelerates arm and lower half. Noticeably lowers release point. Straight change type.

Defense: Stays low to the ground, hands play out front, quick to release.
Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. Short and quick arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, open stance, hands drop at load, short stride.  Short path, bat head gets underneath the baseball at times, line drive approach.
Power: 76 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.16 runner in the 60.
