Offensively hits from an open stance, short stride. Finds the barrel consistently, some collapse, soft front side. 81 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Tyrell is an athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound infielder who showed well at the plate with his economical approach to the ball and a level bat path that resulted in line drives to all fields. Showcasing his gap-to-gap power, Tyrell showed good balance at the plate and had his hands stay behind his swing as his ball showed carry and jump off the bat. In the field, Tyrell showed an accurate arm (78 mph) and solid, clean actions at the shortstop position. Additionally, Tyrell ran a 7.25 60.
