One of the top BP rounds of the event went to left-handed hitting 1B Owen Cornett (DuQuoin, 2023). Cornett has an easy, loose swing and power potential to all fields helped by his 6-foot-4, 225-pound, hulking frame. Cornett has a polished approach and made loud contact to all fields. On day one of game play he showed advanced bat speed barreling up a fastball to the pull side.
