Northwestern football commit. 6-foot-7, 240-pound strong and mature frame. Started on the bump for Chicago Elite’s first game. He faced a loaded Hitters lineup and was able to shut them down for the most part. Showcased long and loose arm action, working from a high 3/4 slot. Showed off a four pitch arsenal to help miss barrels, consisting of a fastball, curveball, changeup, and slider. Fastball was heavy in the zone, sitting 81-83 mph, touching 85 mph a handful of times. Curveball had 1/7 shape at 69-71 mph. Slider showed sweeping action at 74-76 mph. Changeup with running action at 76-77 mph. Gave up only two hits over five innings of work.
7.3.17 - 6-foot-6, 205-pound, lanky left-handed pitcher with projectability. Tall and fall delivery, in line direction, finishes slightly closed. Short, easy arm action from a high ¾ angle. Fastball, occasional arm side run, sat 76-79 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, some depth, 63-64 mph.
2.20.17 - 6-foot-5, 200-pound, lanky left-handed pitcher, lots of room for continued physical development. Works from an over-the-top arm slot with long arm action. Tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, works towards the plate, lands closed and finishes in an athletic position. Fastball flashed arm-side-run, clocked at 76-77 mph, topped out at 78 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, late action, clocked at 62-66. Changeup flashed fade, clocked at 70-72 mph.
