7/25/19

Illinois State commit. 6-foot-2, 195-pound left/left player, long and athletic frame. Played first base and hit sixth on Saturday against Pro Player Canes - Stewart. Didn’t have the best offensive stat line collecting only one single to left field, but he showed the ability to stay on pitches away with occasional lift. We’ve seen ability to pull the ball, showing a gap-to-gap approach as of late, rhythm throughout swing.

2.27.19 - Verbally committed to Illinois State.
2/10/19 - Recent Illinois State commit. 6-foot-2, 190-pound, strong, wide-shouldered, well-proportioned, left-handed hitting first baseman. At the plate, tall, narrow setup, leg-kick timing trigger and fluid rhythm. Aggressive swing, loose strong hands, fast bat, elevates the baseball and pull-power potential. Made consistent hard contact into the pull-side gap. 93 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, occasional bounce around the bag at first base, loose arm action and throws topped at 74 mph. 7.31 runner in the 60, laser-timed.
2.18.18 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound left-handed pitcher, average build some strength. Uptempo delivery with direction, regular effort. Arm action is loose and clean, high ¾ slot. Fastball slightly runs arm side, 78-80 mph. Curveball rolls on 1/7 plane, 61-65 mph. Changeup has slight fade action, occasional arm decel, 68-71 mph.
1.27.18 - 6-foot-2, 190-pound, left-handed pitcher and first baseman. On the mound, delivery works on-line and lands square. Quick arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fastball, arm-side-run, ranged between 78-81 mph. Curveball, flashed depth, 1/7 shape, 62-65 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, straight, 68-70 mph. At the plate, left-handed hitter, balanced, closed setup and long stride. Loose hands, flashed bat speed, long, uphill bat path and strength in swing; 87 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, fluid, athletic footwork around the bag at first base. Clean transfer, high ¾ arm slot and topped at 74. 8.02 runner in the 60.
