6.13.13 - Average frame with strength, 6-foot, 190-pound right handed pitcher. Hasper is one of the strongest arms in the Class of 2014. Delivery shows rhythm, shoulders stay online, works towards target. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, long arm action, loose arm. Fastball climbed to 93 mph, sat at 87-90 mph flashing occasional run, power fastball with life. Curveball has 11/5 action, showed depth, big velocity split from fastball, 67-70 mph. Changeup thrown with fastball arm action, slight sink, 80-81 mph, thrown aggressively and down in the zone. Hasper is one of the top arms in the 2014 class, his power fastball and aggressive feel for his changeup will play well at the next level. Added velocity to his breaking ball could make a deadly three pitch arsenal. In the outfield his arm played at 89 mph, showing carry and accuracy. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, smooth load and short stride. Lower half works, shows bat speed, 88 mph exit velocity from the tee.

5/14/13 - Hasper is the No. 43 ranked player in Illinois and No. 179 overall. Hasper is a 6-foot, 180-pound right handed pitcher, average build, athletic, strong arm. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, long back side arm action. Fastball sat at 84-86 mph, touching 87 mph, flashed occasional sink. Curveball had downward action, above average depth, showed sharp action, showed occasional control, 66-70 mph, has potential to be a plus pitch with added command. Hasper showed a high level of competitiveness on the mound, goes after hitters aggressively and pounds the zone.

2/17/13 - A year ago, we saw the 6-foot, 180-pound Hasper at 77-79 mph. That certainly wasn’t the case at the Preseason All-State Showcase. The two-way prospect enjoyed an all-around impressive showing. On the mound, he showed a lively fastball that sat at 87-88 mph with some sink. He also throws a firm 80-81 mph changeup and flashed an occasional sharp 12/6 breaking ball in the 69-72 range. He is choppy in delivery with some effort, but his arm works fast and there is considerable deception throughout. In the field, his arm plays equally as well. He showcased the top infield arm at the event, clocking in at 88 mph from third base. He also ran a 7.35 60.
1/22/12 Hasper is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound two-way athlete who showed rhythm on the mound and used his strong lower half to drive through his pitches.  He has three pitches: a fastball that had a top speed of 79 mph, a 67 mph curveball that had tight spin, and a 74 mph changeup that showed sink.  Defensively, Hasper has good carry on his throws and gets downhill well (79 mph).  At the plate, Hasper has a balanced setup and a compact swing. Hasper, who ran a 7.48 60, had a top exit speed of 83 mph.
