Defensively, pop times ranged from 2.04-2.19 down to second, 72 mph out of the crouch, impressed with blocking ability during bullpens. Ran a 7.45 60 yard dash. Pennington is a standout football player for Cary Grove, starting at running back as a freshman, breaking numerous school records as a sophomore. He’s a two-sport start to keep an eye on over the next three years.
